Real Estate Investment Blog
Overview
The Real Estate Investment Blog (REI Blog) is designed to provide helpful resources for real estate investors, entrepreneurs, and landlords free of charge. Browse around and check out the free rental forms, worksheets, interviews with successful real estate investors, and tips on this website. This is not a “late night infomercial” that is trying to sell you a dream (or expensive product), but a fact based forum discussing the realities of real estate investing.
About me
I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) working at a Fortune 500 insurance company. I have a passion for entrepreneurship. I have been involved in residential real estate since 2001. This has been a lot of fun. To have a tangible product that at the end of the day I can drive by and say, “I built that” or “that is mine” is a great thrill. I currently have 7 residential rental properties and one lot that is zoned R-3 that can be developed into condos or a triplex.
My Philosophy
I consider myself a value investor and am a huge fan of Warren Buffett. I love to read anything about him. After several years of being involved in investments, I have found the most business clarity from his writings. I believe a lot of the things he says regarding stock market investing carry over to real estate. To that end, I’m always looking to buy good properties that are selling at discount. I’m looking for dollar bills, that are on sale for 60 cents.
